Yumi shifted her body weight until she was sitting in an upright position. She intook her surroundings for several moments. It had gotten darker and it looked like the stars were beginning to come out. She could hear the croaking of frogs on the banks of the lake. The sound of small waves moving on shore was rather calming. They were surrounded by many evergreen trees. This wasn't the lake that Yumi had heard of, but it was still nice in its own way.
"Are you alright,"a deep voice said to her.
She recognized it from earlier. It was Ash. He must have brought her to the lake. He threw something at her and it was almost like a reflex she caught it."Some what,"Her voice cracked because it was rather dry. Yumi put the shirt on seeing as it was getting cooler.
"You have been asleep a long time,"He said with a slight frown on his face. Was it a bad thing to be sleep for a long time? Had her weight been too much for him to carry? Surely not, she didn't way but a measly 115 pounds. That wasn't that much.
Her stomach grumbled slightly. Yumi knew Ash would probably here it. She didn't want him to have to do anymore work than he already had. He had killed two demons, carried her to the lake, started a fire, and given her something to keep her warm. The least she could do was fix dinner.
Ash would probably protest her getting up seeing as she was still a bit sleep and worn out from earlier today. Yumi didn't care at all. She rolled up the edges of her summer kimono, and then the sleeves. As she stood up she wobbled a little bit, but then regained her balance. Her toes hit the cold lake water as she began to go deeper into the lake.
"I'm catching something to eat if you wanted to know," She called out to him from where she was.
OOC: sorry...I got a bit carried away with this one. At least it'll give you something to reply to

Ash nodded to Yumi, and also stood up. Not far away was a felled and long dead tree. Using is chain-bones, he started to cut through it for the wood, and once it was all cut, a minute later, picked up much of it, roughly 300 pounds of wood, ash brought it back to the fire he kept floating, and set up the fire so he didn't need to support it.
Within seconds, the fire was smaller, but it supported itself and started growing. Ash kept his eyes on Yumi's small form out in the water. He didn't want something to happen to her again. [/sub]

Yumi moved her toes in the mud, rocks, sticks and various other objects on the floor of the lake. She inhaled a deep breath and took a stance. One arm was held close to her body while folded out and the other was held straight out and her fingers pointed. Her legs were separated almost into a split like way only bent.
She began to concentrate on the area the surrounded her. The water moved gently against her legs and she could feel small things move quickly around her. There weren't any fish yet but she would have to be patient.
Yumi began to feel the changing of the water currents. She opened her eyes so that she could focus on which direction it was coming from. The East. Right as it was going to pass her she scooped it up in her left hand. It was a hefty sized fish. She tossed the fish up to the shore which wasn't that far off.
She continued to catch fish until she had a nice neat pile. She herself was only going to eat one fish, but she didn't know if Ash liked more. He was part demon from what she had sense and he would probably eat more than her. Yumi went a gathered a few sticks together to put the fish on.
Her sword gutted the fish with expertise and she readied them to be cooked by the fire. Some might ask why she was going through all this trouble but it was just a nice gesture to say 'Thank You' . Yumi placed the fish on a stick and then stuck them on the fire.

Ash smiled and shook his head slightly at Yumi cleaned the fish. He knew that humans liked to be thanks for doing what they did. Thanks for the food, but you should be resting.
Ash sat on the ground and leaned his back against the log, resting. the fish smelled good, and there was something else in the air, but he couldn't name what it was. He just shrugged and let it go. [/sub]

'Thanks for the food, but you should be resting.'Ash said to Yumi. She simply rolled her eyes when he said she should be resting. She felt rejuvenated, but still a little tired out. "Your Welcome it's not problem,"was all she said not commenting on the 'resting bit'.
Several minutes passed and the fish began to darken. It smelt good so that meant it was probably done. She grabbed the fish and placed the long sticks in the ground letting them cool off for a second. "Fish is ready,"She said smiling. Yumi decided to let Ash have first pick. OCC:Sorry this is sucky.

Ash smiled and took a fish, and bit into it. The sweet meat melted into his mouth, but that could have been the extra heat Ash let off into his meat. He closed his eyes and leaned back, savoring the flavor as he always done. His smile widened as he opened them and looked to the sky.
It nice out tonight, agree? [/sub]

Yumi grabbed a fish, one of the smallest ones to be exact. She brought the fish to her mouth and took a bite. It was absolutely delectable for the moment. She hadn't eaten in about a day or two. She inhaled a sharp breath.
It nice out tonight, agree? he asked her. She nodded her head. After all today's events it was nice to finally sit back and relax.

Ash downed that fish quickly and grabbed another one, perhaps the largest, even though he grabbed randomly. He sat back again and watch the sky. The cool air chilled him, but he just let it; it was refreshing just to sit there.
For months, Ash never had a chance to just sit and relax. Always and always, Ash was moving and fighting, with no end. This was the first break he had in a long time. He smiled to himself, and kept on eating the fish. [/sub]

Yumi finished her small fish within a matter of minutes. She had gotten full off of that small fish. Normally any other human might have reached for another but she didn't. She had trained her body to get used to not eating much. If you ate to much and you had to fight you'd be sluggish or you might just vomit. That was something Yumi didn't want to happen.
Soo Ash-saa----Ash tell me something about you," She stopped herself from using the suffix -san. It was really hard for her to do so. She held much respect for the hanyou Ash, and she was taught as a child always use respectful terms when you talk to someone else

What is there to tell. I am a half demon who hunts and kills other demons for a living. Ash left out his shady and spotted history. That was unimportant. I'm not very interesting. What about yourself?
Ash looked to Yumi, eyes bright in the fire's reflection. He grabbed his third fish and waited to see what Yumi's reply to him would be. He could tell that she was having trouble not adding the suffix at the end of his name. Soon, he would know, that she would add the suffix. It was only a matter of time. [/sub]

What is there to tell. I am a half demon who hunts and kills other demons for a living. I'm not very interesting. What about yourself? Ash had said to her. He looked like he was holding something back. She could see it in his eyes. It's what you would call a woman's intuition. Her body stiffened as he asked about her. Her past is what her nightmares were about she didn't want to re-live it. But he had shared with her so it wouldn't her her that much.
"Well Ash-san, I'm from Eastern Japan from a very noble family. They died and I ran away. Someone found me and trained me to be the person I am today,"Yumi spoke quickly and briefly not saying how her family died and why she ran away. Maybe he wouldn't ask about the rest of her history, but rather comment on how she had said -san again.

Ash closed his eyes, lost in thought. He could tell from the note in voice that there was more to that story than what she was saying. He also noticed that she said -san again. This bought a small smile to his face, but he didn't speek on in. He woudl let it fly now. It was too much work for Yumi to rid herself of the habit. [/sub]

Yumi inhaled a deep breath before placing her elbows on her knees. She was getting rather tired again. She thought that since she had slept on the way to the lake for a really long. But alas she was only human and humans bodies tired out faster than anything. She guessed that her stamina wasn't back up to the norm.
Something kept her from going to sleep though. Her deep chocolate brown eyes watched as a strange long figure crossed the sky. She couldn't tell what it was because it was far away but now it was headed towards them. It neared the two closer and closer each second. What to do? What to do?
Yumi looked at Ash who had his eyes closed, she knew that the would sense whatever was way before she did. She got her bow and arrows and aimed from behind the log at whatever it was. As it got closer it didn't have an evil aura, but a kind gentler one.

Ash didn't move an inch, but if one was watching the fire, they would see it change color for a half a second. It shifted from its natural color, to blue, and back again. Ash was fully aware of everything happening around him, but he did have a habit of waiting 'til the last second to act, thanks to his quick reflexes. [/sub]

The creatures body swirled in many different waves. As it got closer Yumi's jaw dropped. It was a dragon. A real life dragon! She had only heard stories about them but had never ran into one. Oh...if her sensei was alive boy would he love to hear this.
"Ash-san look! It's a dragon,"She exclaimed with excitement. The dragon was an ocean blue color with green whiskers, turquoise eyes and a red line going down it's back. It was an absolutely astonishing sight. She was speechless as it approached closer to them.
